Money Makes the Merry-Go-Round

I never want my kids to believe that money is the only result of success, however I do want them to understand the importance of being financially responsible at an early age, so I've decided to get them these new piggy banks:

They have 4 different options for kids to choose for their money. I think this shows them that they shouldn't always SPEND every penny they get, and it gives them the control to choose where they want to apply it. Now my only dilemma is explaining investment to a three year old. I'll come up with it.... Surely.

I give them a good day or two before they figure out that when you're trying to fill each slot, the one that keeps emptying is the one you need to invest more in! ;-) At least that's the American way!

Here you'll find the everyday musings of life, as I see them, which is probably not the same as you see them... Mother, baker, student, wife and woman, sometimes simultaneously, sometimes in conflict. Enjoy!
